Aviva x Tigerhall: Driving Post-Merger Cultural Integration
Valued at 2.4 billion USD, the merger of Aviva and Singlife was the largest insurance deal in Singapore upon its announcement in September 2020. Following the acquisition, the team at the newly formed Singlife with Aviva was tasked with integrating its 1,400 employees.
Led by Group Head of People Vicki Chai, the team created ACE-IT, a new value framework focusing on Agility, Collaboration, Empathy, Innovation, and Trust as the key capabilities for establishing a strong cultural foundation.
Rather than relying on traditional yet ineffective methods to drive this significant change, Singlife with Aviva partnered with Tigerhall to implement a people-first transformation strategy, leveraging feedback loops and personalized change activation to maximize buy-in and impact.
This strategy proved successful, yielding a benchmark-breaking 75% adoption rate. On the strength of this exceptional result, Tigerhall and Singlife with Aviva renewed their partnership for two more years, starting in January 2022.
