Zayne Elrod

Zayne is a Director of Business Development at Microsoft, responsible for identifying and executing strategic, inorganic growth opportunities in cybersecurity. Zayne is deeply interested in all aspects of security, spending his time with customers, partners and industry experts to form views of upcoming security challenges, and shape Microsoft’s role in addressing them – from detection and prevention of malicious actors to establishment of provenance and authenticity on media files and the business and ethics challenges that each present. Beyond cybersecurity challenges in technology, Zayne also works diligently to improve diverse representation in the cybersecurity industry, working with early-in-career talent. He has a baccalaureate degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration and his career spans public and private industry.

Zayne is also an adult-onset triathlete and can be found most days swimming, biking or running.
