Steve Melhuish

Founder of high-growth companies in Asia and Europe, Steve has over 25 years of expertise in leading global businesses. He co-founded PropertyGuru, and in 10 years, the company has grown into Southeast Asia’s leading online property group, being used by over 25 million buyers monthly in 5 countries. Steve leads M&A projects across the region and has raised over $400 million in investments for PropertyGuru.

Before PropertyGuru, Steve was the CEO of an Asian social network company. In addition, he was an advisor to digital media, venture capital and start-up companies across Asia and Europe. He has advised Skype, AOL, Virgin Media, Vodafone, Extreme Media, iPass, and Ariadne Capital.

Steve is currently an advisor to the Young Founder School, a technology focussed education charity that teaches entrepreneurship to students aged 11-17. He is also a Venture Partner at Wavemaker Partners, a leading Southeast Asian B2B Venture Capital firm. Steve is passionate about technology, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Over the last 15 years, he has mentored and invested in several early-stage companies.

Steve won the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 2008 for his contributions to entrepreneurship in Singapore. Under Steve, PropertyGuru won numerous awards including Hitwise #1, CNBC World’s Best Property Portal, SVCA Best Performing VC/PE-Backed Firm, SiTF Best E-Enterprise and many others.
