Pavel has over 20 years of global experience in Senior Executive positions years in various industries including Food & Beverage, Retail, Financial Services, and Real Estate.
He was previously the COO of KFC Asia Central where he designed and set up the Operations function for success as a new business unit and led its expansion to become a top performer among 17 business units. Key achievements included: enabling sales through digitalising restaurant operations across the region and designing and executing a roadmap that resulted in a 2.5x increase in delivery sales.
Prior to this role, Pavel was Regional Director for APAC at Subway, where he drove brand development across a diverse set of 18 APAC markets – heavily penetrated/maturing, high-growth, early entry, turnarounds – with over 4100 restaurants and US$1,400 million in sales. He specialises in helping mature brands with new market entries, re-franchising existing markets, developing growth acceleration strategies, securing financing for start-up businesses, providing analytical support in M&A deals and leading cross-functional teams in turnaround situations.
Before Subway, Pavel spent over 8 years at McDonald's APMEA, first as a Turnaround Business Partner and then as a Corporate Development Business Partner. During this time, his key achievements included increasing the combined McDonald's APMEA and franchisee’s operating income by US$ 50 million via sales growth incentives, revising royalty structures, optimising operating costs, and portfolio management actions. Pavel also held the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy at McDonald’s USA for over five years.
