Bill Weber

Bill Weber, Director of Business Building at 3M Ventures, focuses on the development and commercialization of products within 3M’s Climate Tech portfolio. Joining 3M in 2021, Bill brings a wealth of experience.

Before his role at 3M, Bill served as the President of GrowthPilot, an innovation consulting firm. Previously, he held the position of General Counsel at Cbeyond, a public telecommunications company that he assisted in taking private in 2014.

Bill's diverse career includes roles as a Marine Corps officer, a criminal defense attorney, a faculty member at the University of Georgia School of Law, and a corporate litigator. He also held executive positions at Covad Communications. Bill's military service earned him decorations such as the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” and the Combat Action Ribbon.

His contributions extend beyond his professional roles; Bill has testified before Congress, argued cases before state public utility commissions in 28 states, and served as the past Board Chair of the Georgia Innocence Project.

Bill holds a B.S. (with honors) from the United States Naval Academy and a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Georgia. His journey reflects a commitment to service, innovation, and a multifaceted career.
