Aliza is an award-winning executive and has held senior positions in some of the world's most renowned organizations including Google, Twitter and Cloudflare. She is also a best-selling author and now sits on a number of companies' boards.
Aliza almost has too many awards and accolades to mention, but let's name drop a few – IT Woman of the Year (Asia) in 2020; AWA Singapore International Business Woman of the Year, 2015; elected to Chief Executive Women (Australia) in 2016; and featured in the 2018 book, “Women on Board Making a Real Difference”.
Women awards aside, her CV is equally hard to summarise (deep breath, here goes…) – from Cloudflare, Twitter to Google and many more. Aliza was the former Head of APAC for Twitter, having joined the digital enterprise after building a significant business for Google in APAC as the MD for Commerce. There, she led SWAT (Super Women at Twitter) and did the same for Women@Google. She has served on two key committees for the Singapore government, and was invited to address the Singapore Institute of Directors on why gender diversity is important to boards as well as on globalisation.
Aside from her corporate roles, Aliza is also non-executive board director and advisor, and is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders building successful global businesses. She is currently Non-Executive Director of Healthway Medical Group, Singapore and a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She previously served on the boards of listed companies: Scentre Group, Australia & NZ; national postal service SingPost, Singapore; GfK, Germany; Invocare, Australia; and as an advisor to the ANZ Bank Board Technology Committee.
Aliza also has significant financial services and international experience, where she was the SVP, Commercial Solutions, Visa International; SVP, International, Charles Schwab; and Partner and Head of Financial Services at BCG in Sydney and Singapore. Aliza graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Applied Math-Economics from Brown University, and holds an MBA with distinction in Marketing from New York University. She recently became a contributing columnist at Forbes.
