Tanie Eio is an active advocate for women’s leadership development, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Based in Singapore, she is currently the VP of HR for UPS, APAC and is responsible for the overall Human Capital Strategy for close to 13,000 employees across more than 40 countries and territories in the region.
Her 25 years of experience in HR and across Asia, Europe and the United States comes in handy when leading organisational transformation through HR programs that nurture and empower UPS talents to serve the evolving logistics and commerce needs of its customers worldwide. Tanie’s work at UPS has led her to be recognised as the 2007 Employer of Choice by Hewitt Associates in Singapore, and given opportunities to serve UPS overseas; first in Hong Kong, then Belgium, where she oversaw HR operations for close 47,000 employees in 24 countries, and actively participated in the UPS European Women Leadership Develop (WLD) groups and the launch of a new Mentorship Program.
Most recently, she led the development and implementation of the first UPS Asia Pacific Vision Map, shaping the company’s culture to tackle the evolving economic climate, and equipping current and future employees with the tools to drive the company’s business vision.
Tanie holds a Bachelor in Arts & Social Sciences Degree from the National University of Singapore as well as a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Singapore Institute of Management, and she has completed the Advanced HR Executive Program at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Tanie has also been certified as a Senior Professional by the Singapore Institute of Human Resources Professionals (IHRP), and holds a Certified Human Resource Manager (CHRM)® title by the International Academy of Business and Financial Management.
