Mike Eksteen

Mike has been at the frontline of the digital and mobile technology and media landscape with over 14 years of experience building companies and services in this space. He is the former VP for Digital, Asia Pacific, at Chubb. Mike joined Chubb over four years ago and built Chubb Digital, an integrated digital unit in Asia Pacific tasked to transform insurance from a product-focused to a customer-first approach. This included the development of the digitalisation vision, business strategy and core team for the region. He played a key role in designing the Chubb API and cloud infrastructure, developing digital products and on-boarding new digital economy partners including Grab, DBS, Uber.

He remains an entrepreneur at heart, constantly questioning the status quo. Mike is a co-founder of Tech in Africa and he connects Africa's innovators with exposure and funding opportunities.
