Koen is a Senior Vice President at Mondelēz International where he drives transformative growth for the company’s confectionary portfolio.
Before joining Mondelēz, he was Global Vice President of Innovation and General Manager of Business Development at Pepsico. In this capacity, he spearheaded and executed growth for the Foods portfolio, encompassing renowned brands such as Lays, Cheetos, Doritos, and various new brands. He focused on unlocking innovative growth platforms, including activation, new product development, channels, and business models.
With his keen oversight, Koen managed a highly skilled team across diverse functions, including marketing, insights, research and development, design, strategy, e-commerce, commercialization, venturing, and mergers and acquisitions. He was committed to building a cohesive global innovation community that aligns all markets behind shared priorities, methodologies, tools, and key performance indicators.
At Pepsico, Koen also served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Quaker, where he spearheaded global brand strategy development and execution, overseeing activation and innovation initiatives in key markets, along with assuming brand profit and loss responsibility.
