Jonathan Joseph

JJ has been a software engineer and an engineering leader for over 15 years. Formerly a Head of Engineering at Gojek, his career has taken him through AI research, the launch of several mass-market video games, and, fintech and on-demand ridesharing. He has led teams in Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore. JJ espouses an unconventional and human-centric approach to engineering leadership. His key skill is communication, and as such, he has applied himself to creating understanding between engineers and other departments in order to bridge the divides that so often plague modern organisations. He sees leadership as a path of growth and an opportunity to develop integrity, fairness, and personal responsibility.
