Gavin Chua

Gavin leads government, industry and community stakeholder engagements to address regulatory barriers and develop Facebook’s internet investment interests in APAC. He’s also an active sponsor of tech for good programs related to tech talent, X-Reality, cyber wellness, sustainability, and diversity.

Prior to this role Gavin was based at Facebook HQ advising engineering teams on internet deployment plans globally with risk and economic impact assessments. Before that he helped develop policy strategies in APAC to respond to internet and digital media regulations. Pre-Facebook, Gavin was a partner at Control Risks helping multinationals to invest in APAC and other emerging economies. Early in his career Gavin co-founded a data analytics startup, worked on policy with the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office, and taught in a university.
