Douglas Saunders

Doug Saunders drives Operations Transformation Excellence at Flexco, the company focused on one thing for over 110 years: maximizing belt conveyor productivity.

Doug has a long career with a global manufacturer of conveyor Maintenance equipment. He is a leader and developer of people and processes and has successfully opened and upscaled facilities for manufacturing, warehousing, and sourcing in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and Australia. Positions he has held go from Manufacturing Engineer to Director of Operations for North America.

Doug holds an MBA in Strategic Business Management and a Black Belt in Lean 6-Sigma, and has over 36 years of experience in the Ops environment.

Doug believes in the development and adherence of value propositions, continuous improvement of skills, that agility is necessary for our landscape, and that the creation of a safe and encouraging environment, where people can grow and do their best work, is the key to realizing the most significant accomplishments.

Beyond professional pursuits, Doug’s family and friends are his heart. He works with his local community, supporting children’s hospitals and veteran causes, and has served on several Not-For-Profit Boards. Hobbies include architecture, world travels with his amazing wife and son, building cars, designing and 3-D printing parts, playing guitar, costuming, writing and directing short films, and collecting graphic novels and art.
