Robert Rockell

Rob Rockell serves as the Vice President of Network Infrastructure at Comcast, where he and his team design and build the routing, switching and optical network infrastructure for the Comcast Cable business. An early adopter and technologist, he’s authored standards for technologies such as IP Multicast and IPv6. He’s designed VPN Products and technology, and has experience broadly across the Service Provider industry, from Telco, to Cable, to Vendor environments. Rob has a double degree in Physics and Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University, and enjoys time with his wife Deb and his two daughters Rosie and Gabby.
