Richard Poulton

Richard leads strategic planning, market expansion and growth for AFEX offices across the Asia Pacific Region. With over 14 years of expertise in the finance industry, Richard leads and provides guidance to regional teams to successfully execute AFEX’s regional objectives and achieve financial results. AFEX is the world’s largest privately owned currency payment business with offices in Australia and Singapore, managing over 35,000 clients and more than $50b in foreign exchange turnover to date.

When Richard’s health deteriorated due to burnout, he decided to change his lifestyle and implement tools to live well. He spoke at the 2018 World Peace Celebration event in Sydney, held in conjunction with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, about how inner peace education has helped him in corporate and finance industries.

Richard teaches tools to practice presence, training people to focus on the now to build stronger, meaningful connections with others. He has a strong personal practice in meditation that helps him quiet his mind and build mental focus.
