Ravi Sonnad

Ravi Sonnad is the CEO of Enabling Leadership and focuses his time on building an ecosystem of stakeholders who can bring innovation and excellence to grow the organization’s impact and reach. Prior to this, he was the President for Asia-Pac and a Global Business Unit Director for a US multinational company. Before that, he served as the President for the Europe region.

His career has spanned a variety of senior executive functions from Manufacturing, Customer Service, Marketing and Sales, Strategy and General Management. His more than 30 years of experience has taken him around the world, having lived in India, New Orleans, Amsterdam, Shanghai, and Singapore, and given him exposure to work and life across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Ravi has always been passionate about education, steadfast in the belief that the right type of education allows children to have choices and be able to make the right choices. He founded Enabling Leadership in 2013 to help children learn the 21st century skills that prepare them to take responsibility for their own futures and the future of the world around them. He worked to develop a team and a program that could help to address a significant gap in the public education systems in developing countries.

His greatest strengths are his creativity and his strategic thinking. He is constantly looking to connect the dots and is always exploring partnerships and collaborations that can help scale impact. He thrives on solving problems that help make the world a better place. Ravi holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and an MBA in Finance & Operations from Tulane University in New Orleans.
