With over 37 years of global experience in fast-moving consumer goods, across a diverse set of environments in both emerging and developed markets, Nandu holds an exceptionally extensive portfolio.
In his 31 years at Nestlé, Nandu assumed various high-ranking roles. He first started out as a Marketing Advisor for the chocolate business unit, after which he worked his way up the ranks, assuming the roles of Chairman & CEO at Nestlé Metro Manila, Senior VP for Nestlé Nutrition and Deputy Executive VP for Nestlé Nutrition to name a few. Nandu finally retired from Nestlé as the Executive Vice President; Head of Asia, Oceania, Africa for Nestlé S.A.. With Nestlé, the various global roles that Nandu undertook allowed him to work in a variety of different countries, including Switzerland, Indonesia, Philippines and India.
Nandu is currently a Professor of Practice, Marketing and Strategy at the Indian School of Business. He is also a guest lecturer at the London Business School, where he served as an Executive Fellow for three years prior. In the Philippines, Nandu served as a Board Member at the International School of Manila and the Philippine European Chambers of Commerce, as well as a Trustee at Philippines Business for Social Progress. In Switzerland, Nandu again served as a Board Member at the Swiss German University.
As a mentor and keynote speaker, Nandu is knowledgeable in the topics of emerging markets, globalisation, cross-cultural operations. He also gives advice on leadership and coaching in the new “tech-led” and “sharing economy”, to help people reach their full potential. In this way, Nandu is actively involved in using his past experience to help guide companies through this fast changing world.
