Mariana Melcon

Mariana Melcon has been in leadership roles with HP since 2017 when she joined the company. Her dual background in data and business functions allows her to use data or run experiments to solve complex problems while keeping business goals and real-life constraints in mind. Her unique experience proceeds from eighteen years of working in the academic, not-for-profit, and private sectors. Data science (from basic science to applied methods in business) and leadership (inspired by her aikido practice) have been the two main fingerprints throughout her career.

Mariana holds a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and an MBA from the University of California, San Diego.
