Ismael Hernandez is an Olympic Bronze medalist for modern pentathlon, at Rio de Janeiro 2016. Upon retiring from sports at the age of 26, he went on to do an MBA at Duke University, subsequently starting his corporate career with MasterCard, where he was Director of Product Architect & Distribution - Global SME’s.
After teaching Ethics, Economy and Finance at Tecnológico de Monterrey, a private university in Mexico, and driving business goals as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, he returned to Mastercard. As Vice President, Strategic Risk, he works with multi-billion dollar organizations and influences their teams to unlock their full potential to achieve sustainable success.
His mission is to support athletes in their transition after retirement and motivate people to get out of their comfort zone. He's also a TEDx speaker and Mexican army veteran. His favorite phrase is "Not giving the best of ourselves is sacrificing the gift that was given to us."
