Christine Chia

Christine is Director of Commerce at Google.

Prior to Google, she was Global Director of Jobs Partnerships at Facebook, where she was responsible for the development of Jobs on Facebook products to enhance the recruitment ecosystem globally through Facebook solutions. During her time at Facebook, she has also led the Commerce Partnerships where she is responsible for the development of ecommerce across Facebook’s family of apps and platform products. She also built the Developer Program in the region.

Christine is also an ardent advocate of diversity in the technology and banking industries. She was the founding member of Facebook’s Women in Partnerships and also served the executive sponsors for the Facebook Pride@ community.

Prior to Facebook, Christine spent 16 years in the Financial Services industry. During stints at ABN Amro and American Express, she was responsible for business development, M&A, product development and marketing. At American Express, she was a leader in the conception and development of an analytics-based consulting business and was responsible for expanding this new business from Europe to Asia.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Christine is an active member of the startup community as both an investor and executive mentor.
