Carter Busse

Carter is an accomplished IT executive, currently the CIO of Workato. With senior roles at Salesforce and Accenture, he has been recognized on Forbes' "Top 50 CIOs" list and received the BayArea CIO Corporate Orbie award.

As CIO of Workato, Carter leads the strategic implementation of business technology and oversees the internal usage of Workato's automation platform. His thought leadership and insights have been featured in notable publications like Business Insider, Quartz, CIO Dive, and VentureBeat.

Throughout his career, Carter has experienced success in both private and public companies, contributing to the success of three IPOs: Excite@Home, Salesforce.com, and MobileIron. His leadership acumen spans various areas, including automation, business technology, security, and IT operations. Notably, he is currently engaged in initiatives leveraging natural language processing (NLP) to enhance the employee experience and driving advancements in security automation at Workato.

In addition to his professional achievements, Carter takes pride in being the owner of a minivan. On weekends, he enthusiastically drives his three kids and the family dog to soccer and baseball games. Although his kids may not share his enthusiasm for the minivan, Carter embraces the joy of family time and supporting his children's activities.
