Ameya Kamat

Having lived and worked in India, Malaysia, Singapore and by leading richly diverse teams Ameya has developed a management style driven by sensitivity, empathy, and a deep focus on execution. His work experience spans large tech companies like IBM, Oracle, Progress Software.

Ameya is currently the Business Unit Head for IBM Cloud and AI Infrastructure (IBM APAC and China). He drives strong revenue growth for APAC by leading diverse teams to close multiple large deals, marquee logos and FOAK wins.

Before this role, he was the Head of Partner Ecosystem for IBM Public Cloud where he led growth for IBM’s key APAC markets. He scaled complex businesses, multiplied revenues, and pioneered transformative strategies. This has earned him many awards among them IBM’s highest recognition “The Best of IBM” and the top sales award of Progress Software the “ProClub”.

Aside from his corporate career, Ameya even launched, scaled, and failed with his own tech startup. In a previous life, during engineering, he co-developed a real-world AI/ML program to predict kidney dialysis treatment adequacy. Ameya holds a patent for a handy device used in cars to fight malaria and dengue mosquitos.
