Will Klippgen

Will has invested in over 25 startups across Asia, Europe, and the US. He manages Cocoon Capital, a venture capital fund which targets Southeast Asian B2B e-commerce, Fintech, and Business Software companies. Over the past 15 years, Will has been actively involved in Singapore’s start-up scene with his investment company Tigris Capital, which he continues to run. Tigris Capital has backed several notable companies including PropertyGuru, Anacle Systems, Tickled Media, ReferralCandy and Nugit.

Will was the co-founder of price comparison site Zoomit. In one of Europe’s largest internet transactions, Zoomit was merged with Kelkoo and sold to Yahoo in 2004. In addition, Will also co-founded BAF Spectrum, a seed investment fund. BAF Spectrum partners with SPRING Singapore (a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry) to promote entrepreneurship by co-funding technology startups in Asia.

Will was a judge on the first Southeast Asian business reality show ‘Angel’s Gate’ in 2012. Featured on Channel News Asia, the show was a platform for young entrepreneurs to pitch their dream business ideas to Asia’s most successful investors. In 2010, Tigris Capital was named ‘Best Performing VC/PE backed Company’ by the Singapore Venture Capital Association for its successful investment in leading Southeast Asian property listing site PropertyGuru.
