Jacob has expertise in communications for over 15 years. He is a partner at Redhill Communications, the largest independent public relations and affairs agency advising the Asia Pacific’s most active and largest venture capitalists. In addition to fintech and blockchain start-ups such as Spark Systems, Funderbeam, Bluzelle, VeChain, Redhill also serves clients such as Emirates, General Mills, Mundipharma and many more companies on a regional mandate. In 2017, Redhill won the Holmes Report Asia Pacific New PR agency of the year.
Prior to this, Jacob was a Director of PR and Public Affairs at MUrgency Inc for close to 4 years. He was also senior consultant at Burson-Marsteller Middle East, advising clients such as HP, Ford Motor Company, Etisalat, American Express, Parrot, SAS, Total, Emaar, Air Arabia, Souq.com, McDonalds, LG, ASUS, Saudi Telecom, Beiersdorf and Dubai’s EXPO 2020.
Jacob was also the Editor-in-Chief of Corporate communications at Du, Editor of LinuxWorld and NetworkWorld in Middle East and Africa, and the Deputy Editor of Gulf Business.
Apart from the corporate world, Jacob also has experience in governmental roles. He was in India’s Ministry for External Affairs as the Director for Africa, Middle East, Latin America – Passports and Visas. He also served in Monrovia as part of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) peacekeeping mission as a communications trainer.
